You can delete labels that are no longer used. When you delete labels, the label history is also deleted.
Note: To make labels unavailable to users, you can hide them instead of deleting them. This allows you to maintain the label history. See Hiding labels.
1. Select the mainline branch that includes the label to delete.
2. Choose Tools > Labels.
The Labels dialog box opens.
3. Select a label and click Delete.
You are prompted to confirm the deletion. This action cannot be undone.
4. Click Yes.
The label is deleted.
