Adding item list views

If you frequently change the column layout, sorting, and filter in item lists, create a view to save the configuration. You can apply a view to a list at any time to view information using the saved configuration. See Applying views to item lists.

Note: The Folders list does not support views.

1. Configure the columns, sorting, and filter for the list.

2. Click the columns and views button.

3. Enter a view name in the Add View field and click Add.

The view is saved.

If you search before adding the view, you are prompted to save the search results as a filter. To save a filter, click Save, enter a filter name, and click Add. If you do not save a filter, the saved view uses the filter selected before you performed the search.

Note: You can update an existing view if you change the configuration. See Updating item list views.
