You can add file actions to new or existing changelists when you perform the action. For example, when you check in files, you can add the check in action to a changelist from the Check In Files dialog box. The files are checked in when the changelist is committed.
The following example adds a file rename action to a changelist. You follow the same steps regardless of the action.
1. Select the file and choose Activities > Rename File.
The Rename File dialog box opens.
2. To add a file action to a changelist, expand the Changelist options area and select an option.
3. Click OK.
The file action is added to the changelist.
Note: If changelists are required, the changelist options are always displayed. You can also set default changelist options for dialog boxes. See Changing defaults for Surround SCM dialogs.
